I like the idea my dear Romeo
and I've added U to a special group on Facebook for the same goal
but I think that to practice our English we need to make a kind of written conversation
which means to write about any case or any topic in our society and try to express our viewpoints
and our opinions about it, more than writing verse or quotes
for example: somebody suggests a topic and then we start arguing about it in English
the same as we do in our Arabic topics
NOTE:
this is simply my own opinion or let me say it's my own proposal

three days ago, my friend and I were arguing about a nice and an important topic (suggested by him) on Facebook.
And I 'll be pleased to share it with you, and to get your points of view about it. The topic is

Do you think that social networks ( Facebook , Twitter ,....) are a threat to a conservative society ?
Do you think its drawbacks often mask its benefits ?
Which social media do you use most actively
???????????

My opinion is the following
I think social networks threaten only those stupid & tyrant governers who dream to keep their countries
& their societies as conservative and as closed as possible. So they try all the time to spread their one-sided viewpoints
and their unfair rumors about those networks, dreaming to convince their people that such websites are silly & corrupted !!!
But this doesn't often work and on the contrary
it creates a bigger curiosity in those people to Know, Explore and use those social networks.
In my opinion, social networks derive their importance and their obvious effect from TWO facts;
the first one is that such networks offer a proper space of freedom that isn't existed in most of Arab societies,
and the second fact is that those websites become an excellent mean to connect unlimited number of people
all over the world, gathering them on One page to support or to condemn any case and to express their attitudes.
And this will take place just in few hours.
The good thing is that even those, who didn't believe in the significant & profitable role of such networks,
have changed their minds after what happened in Tunisia & Egypt.
For me, FACEBOOK is my favorite website, and then YOUTUBE.

Well I will share the idea of my friend Isma3ell
I think these social networks has become one of the most influential factors in Arab societies
The evidence for that is the important role that helped the revolution in Egypt and Tunisia
So I think the advantages of these networks can not be compared with the disadvantages
Of course, many in our society do not accept these sites and they describe it as debauchery
But I do not agree with them and I have subscriptions on Facebook
and so many friends like you Isma3el
